Through the "Europeana Libraries" Project, 19 of Europe's leading research and universities libraries has brought digital collections to Europeana and The European Library.
The Library of the LBUS contributes to Europeana with two basic collections :
- "Old and Rare Books" – over 2000 pages scanned from books with Cyrillic, old Gothic and Latin characters;
- "Sibiu – European Capital of Culture, 2007" – over 1000 images of the events.
and another two added collections:
- Sibiu / Hermannstadt in old Postcards
- Old and Rare Books - images.
All digital collections are available on the local University Digital Library - DSpace repository.
