Regulation on Acquisition Policy

The regulation on the acquisition policy of the LBUS Library refers to the stages in the activity of completing the collections, the acquisition being essential in the library in order to ensure the increase in the number of volumes and the enrichment of the collection.

A number of criteria are important in the selection process: the novelty of the information, the degree of depth of a subject, technical aspects, physical characteristics, the library’s collections, and the price of the publications.

The final decision to purchase a document will take into account the balance between the proposals and the overall objectives of the institution.
