The interlibrary loan of publications (ILL) is the service through which the Library of the LBUS obtains, for a determined period, from other libraries from Romania or other countries certain documents that are not in their own collections, in order to meet the needs of reading, information, documentation, research and to ensure access to information.
The request for publications is made via an e-mail request (biblioteca@ulbsibiu.ro), which must include:

• a bibliographic description of the publication requested (author, title, place, publisher, year of publication, page range, ISBN/ISSN) and
• the contact details of the user (e-mail address, telephone number).

People from other cities in the country, who wish to borrow documents from the LBUS Library’s collections, should address the loan request to the library to which they belong, which will take the necessary steps to receive the requested publication.
