Through media/rep/, researchers and authors can archive their scholarly publications themselves reliably and free of charge in a central subject-specific repository. media/rep/ ensures that the publications it holds can be searched through interdisciplinary and subject-specific research tools and aggregators.
media/rep/ holds the following types of documents:
- Book chapters and journal articles
- Monographs and collective works
- Doctoral theses, post-doctoral theses
- Working papers
- Conference recordings and interviews
The project aims to raise awareness of the potential of open access in media studies to change publishing habits in the long term. To this end, media/rep/ cooperates with newsrooms, publishers, libraries, and cultural institutions.
