The library building is part of a larger complex of LBUS, located on 2A Lucian Blaga Street, where the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Social Sciences – Department of Psychology, the Department of Social Care, Public Relations and Sociology, the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies and Research, LBUS Publishing House are also active.

The LBUS Library is composed of 7 levels:

Basement – book and periodicals repository equipped with mobile shelving.

Ground floor – users’ reception area, with Info Point, Card Issuing Point, access to the Internet Room, socializing and events area, Lending Point, publications collections for home borrowing.

Next are the floors with open-shelf collections of books and periodicals, organized according to fields of knowledge:

First floor – encompasses the exact and applied sciences: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Environmental Studies, Ecology and Sustainability, Medicine, Engineering, Computers, Automation, Construction, Transportation, Economics, Management, Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Ecology and Sustainability, Food Industry, Chemical Industry, Metallurgy, Textile Industry, Sports;
Standards and Official Gazettes Collection.

2nd floor – includes philological humanities and communication sciences: Linguistics, Literature, Art, Theater Art, Architecture, Culture, Library Science, Biographies, Religion, Ethnology, Education, Philosophy, Anthropology, Feminism, Critical Theory, Journalism;
Doctoral theses defended in LBUS;
Special Collections.

3rd floor – includes social sciences and collections of cultural centers: Psychology, Sociology, Politics, Law, Public Administration, History;
British Library, American Library, German Library, French Library, books in Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Thai;
Collection of audiovisual resources in the Multimedia Room.

4th floor – comprises 4 classrooms.

Attic – offices where the library services operate, Board Room, Room M16 for specialized courses.

The 4th floor and the attic house the Confucius Institute and the 3rd floor the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies and Research.

The building is equipped with:
Person elevator (basement – 4th floor) and book elevator (basement – attic);
Secured doors for publications;
Self-check stations on the ground and first floors;
Publications self-return station outside the building;
Bicycle parking;
Staff parking with barrier (service card access).

Student circulation is via the right entrance and staff circulation via the left entrance, using the card.
